Relationship between Competitive Swimming Performance and Motor Adaptation in an Aquatic Environment
This study examined the relationship between the ability to correct errors using sensory information in the water and competitive swimming performance. The results suggested that more highly skilled competitive swimmers may be able to adapt to the target speed while keeping cumulative errors small under the sensory and mechanical conditions unique to the aquatic environment.
