【Press Release】Professor Takeda et al. investigated sleep quality in elite judo athletes



A research article by ARIHHP professor TAKEDA Fumi (Research field: Public Health, Health Sociology, Health Education) et al. was published in an international journal, Sleep and Biological Rhythms. This study investigated eighty-six elite judo athletes who participated in the training camp of the Japanese national team on their subjective sleep quality and risk factors. As a result, 40.7% respondents reported poor subjective sleep quality. In addition, this study indicated that managing psychological distress is a key factor to keep good sleep quality and enhance performance.
