A research article by ARIHHP professor Hideaki SOYA and ARIHHP researcher Yudai YAMAZAKI et al. was published in an international journal, Cerebral Cortex Communications. This article revealed the possibility of the contribution of locus coeruleus, one of the regions located brainstem, for enhancing arousal levels elicited by acute very light-intensity exercise, such as yoga and walking, by using neuromelanin-sensitive imaging and pupil diameter.
